How it works
The short version, then the details.
- Join with your apartment number
Pick any name. You get $1,000 in pretend money, plus $250 more every month. No real money, ever.
- Bet on a question
Like “Will the elevator be broken on Friday?” Pick Yes or No and how much to bet.
- Win if you’re right
When the answer is in, everyone who guessed right splits the money from everyone who guessed wrong. Fewer people on your side means a bigger cut.
- Win prizes
Every 2 months, the richest players win real prizes. Then everyone resets to $1,000 for a fresh season. See the prizes
Is this real money?
No. Everything is pretend. You start with $1,000 and get $250 more on the 1st of every month (it shows up next time you visit).
How do I win?
Pick a question, choose an answer, and bet some money. When the answer is known, everyone who was right splits all the money that was bet, in proportion to how much they put in.
Show me the math
Say $300 is on Yes and $200 is on No, and you put $100 of that on Yes. Yes wins. The whole pot is $500, and your $100 is a third of the Yes money, so you get a third of $500: $166. The button shows your payout before you bet, based on the bets so far. It can change as other people bet.
What do the percentages mean?
They show how the money is split. 73% Yes means 73% of the money is on Yes. It’s roughly what the building thinks will happen.
When does betting close?
Each question shows its closing date (Eastern time). After that, no new bets, and the admin announces the answer.
What if nobody picked the right answer, or the question gets called off?
Everyone gets their money back.
Can I bet more than once?
Yes, as many times as you like, on either side.
How do I log back in?
Tap log in and type the same apartment number and name you joined with. Anyone who knows both can get into your account, so pick a name that’s yours. It’s only pretend money.
How do prizes work?
The game runs in 2-month seasons. Whoever has the most money when a season ends wins the prizes on the prizes page. Then everyone, winners included, goes back to $1,000 for the next season.
Who decides the answers?
The admin, a neighbor who runs this. If you think something was called wrong, or you have an idea for a new question, send them a message.
